We waited until Freya had returned home from her sleepover and then the children had an Easter egg hunt in the garden, which they really enjoyed. This afternoon (in the rain) Ross played in his Next Steps Brass Band at the Bandstand in Priory Park.

I forgot to post the video of Garden Cottage from our recent holiday up in Northumberland.  It’s not brilliant and I didn’t edit it – it’s straight from the video camera.  Anyway it’s me being an estate agent!  It’s fairly big at 35MB even in compressed form – I will email it if you want [...]

The return journey was great for me, however Mandy had hurt her back.  We still don’t know how – anyway it’s fine now.  It was like taking an OAP into the Service Stations :-0  All she needed was a zimmer frame!

I wrote this post on 26 April just for completeness – it’s pretty busy here right now, because we are having the porch totally replaced – photos to follow with a before & after post.

We had a day off the sight-seeing today and just went into Seahouses which is the nearest town to the cottage. It was foggy and cold so we had ice-cream and then went to Swallow Fish (Rick Stein recommends them) and bought some oak-smoked kippers and had one vacuum packed for my Dad.  I will [...]
